Company Keys and Intermediary Keys
What is a corporation key?
An access code that will provide added security when filing
transactions that are not validated by a credit card, namely:
Change of Registered Office (Form 3), Change of Directors
(Form 6), Articles of Dissolution (Form 17) and Statement of
Intent to Dissolve or Revocation of Intent to Dissolve (Form 19).
Self-filing users will be required to use their corporation keys to
access Forms 3, 6, 17, 19 via Corporations Canada's Web
interface.
What is an Intermediary Key?
Registered service providers such as law firms, search houses
and others who offer incorporation services will not require
individual company keys to file forms on behalf of their clients;
rather, they will be issued Intermediary keys that will grant them
direct access to online transactions for their clients, as well as
special features designed especially to meet intermediaries’
filing needs.
