In 1998, after twenty years working in the field of graphic arts and issues, Fernando Cordero de la Lastra opened his own gallery in the center of Madrid. His first major goal was to be able to provide a context for producing and exhibiting original works and print editions. Valenzuela Klenner Gallery was founded in Bogotá in 1989, focuses its work in management, exhibition and dissemination of contemporary Latin American art with a special emphasis on those produced in, and from the Colombian context. She is interested in those artistic practices that from an objective and critical engagement, seeking to generate reflections and questions in the viewer. With a rich history in promoting Cuban art this gallery was founded in May 1962 with the aim of disseminating national and international creative work of local artists.
